As Coach John Douglas begins his fourth season with the Bison Men's team, he is very excited about the teams outlook not only for this season but others that follow. "We have a very talented freshmen class, could be the best I've had in my four years". Douglas looks to better his best season record of 12-17 this year. John has coached for over 25 years. He has coached all levels and ages including High School, Jr Gold and U19 teams. He has coached three state championship teams. In 2009 he obtained the highest hockey coaching certification, Level 5. Coach Douglas has also been a Jr A scout, hosted the Under-18 Czech Republic team, spent a week with the National Development team in Ann Arbor and has been a coaching coordinator for area youth hockey programs. Douglas played his high school hockey in Minot and was part of Minot States first hockey team. John has one son, Cameron. In the off-season you can find him on the golf course.
