Assistant Coach/ Defensive Coordinator

Coach Adams returns as Assistant Coach after four successful seasons at Rutgers. He is graduating in spring 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and applied kinesiology with a minor in economics.  Throughout college, Adams played in 110 games, tallied 54 goals and 167 assists for 221 points, and also accumulated 215 penalty minutes. He became Co-Captain his sophomore year, advanced to Captain the following two years, and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player three of his four seasons.

At a young age, Adams participated on the USA Hockey Atlantic District Select Festival teams for three consecutive years, helping him secure a spot on the hockey team at Seton Hall Prep HS in NJ. While at Seton Hall, Adams won the titles of State Champion and All-Essex County All-State Forward. He transferred to The Gunnery Prep HS in CT within two years, where he became team Captain, and upon graduation, Co-Captain of the EJHL Springfield Falcons Junior A Team.

Over the last four years, Adams was also acknowledged for the following achievements: ACHA Division 1 All-Star 2010-2013, 2010 ACHA World University Games Try-Out Invitee, MEAD Scoring Leader Award (2010, 2011, 2013), NECHL First Team 2010-2012, ESCHL 2nd Team All Star 2013, and NECHL Player Of The Year 2011.

A native of Oak Ridge NJ, Adams has experience as a summer counselor at ProtecHockey School and coaches the Protec Midget U18 team as well as the Protec Spring Selects. Coach Adams also has his level four coaching certification for USA Hockey.
