Mike Lendino grew up in Randolph, New Jersey before relocating to Fort Myers, Florida to 
become a student at Florida Gulf Coast University. Lendino is considered one of the most 
celebrated players in the program's history. During his time as an Eagle, Lendino amassed 308 
points in 130 games averaging 2.37 points per game and was widely considered one of the best 
players ever to compete in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Lendino capped off his 
successful college hockey career by leading the FGCU Eagles to the university's first ever 
national championship in 2012 as the team's captain. After capturing the D2 National 
Championship on home ice, Lendino retired immediately and began his coaching career and 
spent the 2012-2013 season behind the bench of the D3 Eagles and lead the team to another 
top four finish in the South Region.
