ACHA Around the Boards: Nationals Edition


The DI National Championship has wrapped up and the Women's and DIII Tournaments are underway. Here's the news that led up to each one.

Arizona State took home their first National Championship with a 3-1 victory over Robert Morris (IL). Here’s a rundown of the coverage leading up to, during and after the DI National Tournament:

A feature on David Jantzie finishing his time at ASU with a Title. Heading into the tournament, ASU was hoping to lock down their opponents with defensive play. ASU’s road to the finals including a come-from-behind win over Stony Brook.

AZFamily on ASU advancing to the Final Four where they defeated Stony Brook 4-3. Oklahoma also advanced to the semifinals where they would eventually fall to RMU.

Iowa State’s win over Ohio snapped a three-game postseason losing streak to the Bobcats. The Cyclones would eventually fall to Oklahoma as the Sooners pushed to the Final Four. Despite the disappointment of falling to the Sooners, ISU finished with their best record in 15 years.

Arizona was bounced by Illinois early in the tournament. The Illini would fall to Oklahoma later in the tournament.

Hope College turned in an impressive performance, knocking off the tournament’s highest scoring team to advance to the DIII Final.

Despite a tough showing in the DIII tournament, a pair of brothers have helped lift Aurora’s program to new heights.

The Alaska women are making yet another appearance in the National Tournament.

San Jose State will be making their way to the DII National Tournament. Illinois State will be joining them.
